Senior bim specialist

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced BIM professional to take a leading role in structural modeling and drawing production at Lysaght & Associates. This isn't a heads-down drafting job — you'll be a technical leader on the BIM/CAD team, working closely with our engineers, coordinating across project teams, and helping shape how we deliver work digitally. If you take pride in clean, well-coordinated models and know your way around a complex drawing set, we'd love to talk.

What You'll Do

  • Lead structural BIM model development and drawing production across all project phases

  • Coordinate directly with project engineers and outside consultants to keep models and drawing sets aligned

  • Manage BIM production schedules and serve as the primary modeling point of contact on assigned projects

  • Review and refine drawing packages for accuracy, clarity, and constructability

  • Support construction administration — RFIs, shop drawings, submittals

  • Assist with field evaluations and prepare detailed site observation reports

  • Mentor and collaborate with other BIM staff and serve as a go-to technical resource for Revit questions firm-wide

  • Contribute to developing and maintaining firm standards, templates, and detail libraries

  • Evaluate new BIM tools and workflows that could improve how we deliver projects

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of BIM modeling experience, with at least 4 years working directly in Revit on complex building projects

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit

  • Experience coordinating BIM across multidisciplinary design teams

  • Familiarity with structural analysis platforms (RISA or similar) and how they integrate with BIM workflows is a plus

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred

  • Strong communicator — you can work with engineers, contractors, and consultants without things getting lost in translation

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple project deadlines without dropping the ball
